It is with sadness, we just received word that Tina Barber, creator of the New Zion Shiloh, has crossed over. She will be greatly missed. May her legacy live on forever.
Sorry we have not posted in awhile. The boys are doing well. Unfortunately, Denali is very nervous on walks now. In the last 6 months he has been rushed by off-leash dogs. The other dogs never made contact with him, but the stress of the situation has freaked him out. I wish people could keep their dogs on leash. Buddha just likes to be a home body. He goes out with me, but truly prefers being at home. Buddha will be 4 in September and Denali will be 2 in August. Boy does the time fly by.
I had emergency surgery and spent a week in the hospital after Christmas and thankfully fully recovered now. I also got excepted into Naturopathic Medical school... In 4 years I will be Dr. Jaffe ;~) And our son graduated with his Assoc in Police Science and moving on to his Bachelor's. Some new pic's of Buddha~Bear and Denali~Boy with my mum who was visiting and could not get over their size, also with our son, his girlfriend and our daughter.
End of year update. Denali is now 32" at the shoulder (and I hope done growing) and Buddha is holding 31". Denali is a silly and happy boy, we joke and say we should have named him "Happy." Denali is my cuddler. He loves to be almost on top of me or Buddha at all times. He loves to crawl, and I do mean crawl into our bed and snuggle before we go to sleep. Buddha likes to be near by, not much of a cuddler, though he tolerates it well so I can get my 'cuddle fix.'
There is never a dull moment when you have two shilohs in your home. They are either playing, cuddling, sleeping or grooming each other. Though they are inseparable, they are both stable when separated. We could not have asked for better companions. Buddha~Bear, Denali~Boy and The Jaffe clan wish you all Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to come ;~)
Denali~Boy just turned 1 on Aug 4th and Buddha~Bear will be 3 on Sept 17th. The boys are so BIG. Denali is slightly taller than Buddha. We love them so much... just amazing boys.
On Saturday [ Howl-een ;~) ] we received a call from a family needing help to re-home their pup. Brad and I went to evaluate the pup so to get an idea on his personality, in order to help them find a new home. During our evaluation both Brad & I unexpectedly fell in LOVE. Serendipitously, we came home with a new addition. We named him Denali. Denali means, A Great One.
Buddha~Bear is so in love with Denali. Buddha thinks that he is his personal baby. The video clip shows their wild time of the day. Mostly Buddha grooms Denali and they like to just hang out together.
What a brood we have ;~) Brad never thought that we would have 5 dogs and actually, neither did I.... it just happened ;~)
Enjoy the video. Check back and watch Denali grow up on the blog.
Buddha~Bear and Keanu love dressing up... we recently pulled out the Halloween box to see what costumes we had available for some photos.... and dressed up the pup-a-doos. We all had fun.
Remember to have a SAFE halloween, for you and your furry family.
